Is this an exact belt length?
It is an approximation for an open belt, most useful when center distance is large relative to the diameter difference.
Which diameter should I use?
Use pitch diameters in mm, with center distance also in mm.
Can I use it for crossed belts?
No. This equation covers open belts only; it excludes tension adjustment and belt stretch.
