About Fieldwork Tools

A collection of engineering calculators for mechanical and electrical work, study, and everyday checks.

Independently maintained

Fieldwork Tools is a small site maintained by an individual. It is not a company or an institution. It is intended for mechanical and electrical students, DIY users, maintenance workers, and early-career engineers.

Why this site exists

Calculator pages can be crowded with ads, leave units unclear, or hide the formula behind the result. This site aims to make those checks easier: units are labeled, formulas are visible, and worked examples show how the numbers fit together.

Calculations run locally in your browser. You can read more about the assumptions and rounding on the Methodology page.

No manufacturer affiliation

Fieldwork Tools is not affiliated with any manufacturer, brand, or standards organization. The calculators do not represent or carry the endorsement of any of those organizations.
